For the past nearly year, my friend has been talking more about femboy stuff, taking part in more "diverse" university events (gender stuff, furry, etc.), and sometimes worn his "femboy outfit" (it's just plain black thigh highs and a tiny skirt and a full sleeve t-shirt, probably amazon basics lol). I am supportive, but it's not like it comes up often in conversation, so maybe there are a few gifts he would appreciate.
His "outfit" was originally from his first time cosplaying over a year ago and is super basic, so maybe a dress or skirt would be nice. However, me searching "dresses" gives results which seem more revealing than I'd think he'd want atm. I guess I know nothing about the femboy fashion anyway, but the black and white maid stuff looks impossible to wear casually. Maybe a checkered dress-skirt like you see on schoolgirls would be nice and not as standing out idk
I don't think he has any makeup either, so I was thinking about going to a chain pharmacy and picking up like $70 of random tools and products. And/or maybe some flowery perfume idk
I think he would appreciate someone gifting him these things instead of him picking it out himself, so I think fashion or beauty or makeup store gift cards are out.
And maybe if the gifts are a little more "pushy" than he's comfortable with, I could throw in some gym shorts or other normal gifts.
I haven't ever bought anything feminine/for a woman before so I have no idea what would work. I'd appreciate any advice! :)
It seems like there's a lot of minors in this subreddit, so just for context we're both early 20s male. He also isn't hiding any of this from his parents or anything. We're also in a large city so not worried about safety, but asking a store assistant for specific advice "for a friend" would take more balls than I have lol
