Hi folks wanted to share a newer faction idea of mine. (I technically made these boys a few months ago. Juts wasn’t sure if I should post them or not) allow me to introduce The Somunum:

What are they: they’re manifestations of lingering grudges/fears made real by the darkness. Created through a refined version of deepsite and nightmare energy.

Gameplay gimmicks: the sumonum have two main gimmicks in the faction. resentment and the union gimmick:

Resentment: when elite/major tier units are killed next to weaker units, the weaker units will gain increased damage and efficiency while in combat.

Union: some units within the faction (the ruminator) will fuse to one or more enemy’s in order to create a stronger unit.

Units in the faction:

somunum units:

Ruminator: the weakest of the units. What it lacks in power it makes up for with its union ability. When near by other ruminators or other stronger units. It will fuse with them to make a stronger unit.

Khaos: a melee unit that bears little health but are fast moving strikers. When weakened enough they will sacrifice their health to heal the closest amor ranked unit.

Dubium: A hybrid melee and medium ranged unit. When in battle they can fire a three round burst from their fear rifles. When close to the player they will swing down the blade of their axe down on players.

The pursuer: the hounds of the Somunum. When in battle they will either attack with their claws/tail/or teeth. They will also launch the spikes in there back at players. When it makes contact it will create a void explosion.

Havoc: the ogres of the faction. When in combat they will fire comes of nightmare energy from one of its three heads. When then nightanre energy hits the players they will begin to receive the devoured debuff. When the health of the havoc reaches zero it will split into 3 khaos units.

Culpa: large heavy melee units. When in close range they will use there flayers mace, however if a player is out of the their maces range they will throw out they’re sickle in order to drag players closer to themselves.

Simul: the Sumunoms support unit. When in combat they will cast a protective shield over certain units. The shield will not drop unless the simul is killed.

Poignant: a high damaging but low health ranged unit. When fighting they use similar animations to the subjugators attack patterns

Congeries: the first of the two major enemy’s. a large mass of nightmare energy capable of destroying most entity’s in its path. When fighting it will cast out one
Of three different elements (strand, staisis, and void). It also has the ability to summon more ruminators during the fight.

The torment: the strongest unit within the faction. They bear the likeness of nezerac. When fighting they will utilize nightmare energy to conjure up various hazards during the fight.

Not sure why but these two sets specifically feel like they would of been based off factions that could of came in shattered cycle and the alchemist

The vex one especially. Looks like quicksilver tech mixed with vex pieces.

Could be wrong but that’s just my thoughts.

My dad made tomahawks so my boy got to have his own bone today. And he’s having a blast.

Noticed he had a swollen eye after I got back from work this afternoon. I cleaned it up with eye wipes and did a warm press on it aswell. To see if iy helps the swelling.

Do yall have any tips on how to deal with big bites like this? He seems yo not show signs of any differences behavior wise.
