Welp today's the day

Its the day of the twid, we SHOULD, assuming plans haven't changed which they quite possibility might have, that we should be getting information about atleast the update but hopefully more, and considering the state of alot of the community rn I worry things will get significantly worse if we get no news, doom posting will double probably, and i cant exactly blame them, the information drought about destiny's future is agony, I honestly dont understand why there holding back telling us, only guesses os either its terrible news and there keeping hush hush to not damage marathon (stupid if true) and syphon a bit more money, or, and i hope this is the case, there winding up a massive gut punch of information to try and wow us, risky, but if it pays off could be legendary, id be shocked if it was neither but hey wouldn't be the first time I was wrong, guess we'll see, whats your thoughts on it? Hope? Despair? Caution?

Update: DAMMIT ITS THE END OF LIFE UPDATE, sigh well that sucks, even more so given they are adding alot of cool stuff, honestly this seems like a bad idea imo, if there planing on making d3 we likely wont see it for 3-5 years if I had to guess, welp, its been a wild ride, but eyes up guardians, while this is the end, it may also be a new beginning in the future, per audacia ad astra

How playable is the game without the season passes and without the latest DLC?

Heya, old player here intending to return. To enjoy the game and participate in all the fun stuff, do I need the latest DLC's (specifically after final shape, as I think thats the last one I had, I have all or most of the previous ones)

Also has the subclass 3.0 system changed at all? Is it the same-ish?

Do any of you use Foetracer on Hunter's Relativism? If so, what do you pair it with?

I got Foetracer and Coyote and it works for me pretty well. Is it a waste?

2 Ice Breakers Dropping In First Ever Clear (for my friend)

I’d appreciate someone that’s good with maths working out the chance of this happening!

With the fact it’s his very first run included!

New Home for the Awoken

Since the Dreaming City is cursed permanently and forever stuck in a loop of the Taken Corruption every week, where would the Awoken people go now? Any world minus the ones snatched from orbit by the Witness (Devs being lazy to bring them back) could be a new home where they rebuild.

Warlock Exotics missing text

There are two exotics that have hidden interactions that are not told. I will update this as I find other things, but I wanted to let people know about these 2. The first one is ballidorse, with text that says, "Giving frost armor to allies grants super energy." This is usually done through frostpulse, but something NOT SAID is that when buffing allies during your super, if done enough it can refund up to half the super when it expires. Turns the exotic from meh, into something that is really good during raids.

The next example is stormdancers brace, which does not interact properly within what the text says. Using the text "Damaging cambatants with abilities while amplified grants Bolt Charge" this is only half true. On prismatic when amplified dealing damage with a stasis turret/hellion/threadlings does not generate charge. It only works when dealing damage with arc abilities, don't know if this is a bug or intentional. Hopefully this can help with some people who wanted to try the exotics

How likely Bungie post something of value tomorrow?

I’m going 50/50 but the most likely scenario is June 2nd to just be told it’s been delayed again. That’s my guess.

I think Ward of Dawn should be an aspect. Hear me out….

Reasoning:

The game simply isn’t slow enough or as punishing like it used to be in Destiny 1 for me to run bubble over a much more beneficial damage super. And any utility purposes the bubble used to give like weapons or blessing is over shadowed by other abilities, like well of radiance. So, I think it would be best to modernize it into aspect and provide an actual different gameplay idea. The way I see it, if we can have aspects like banner of war and storms keep that encourage people to rally to a position for offensive benefits, we could definitely have bubble be an aspect, no question.

Here’s what I would do:

Rework Breakdown:

- Rework Offensive Bulwark to be the aspect that utilizes bubble. The name will fit better when you read what my idea is, and it already has a bubble for the picture.

(Side note: I recommend alongside this rework, to not entirely scrap current Offensive Bulwark. Instead, implement the whole current aspect into Unbreakable, where it’ll synergize a lot better and offer a fun “sword and shield” type of playstyle.)

- Offensive Bulwark will now be changed to provide an extra class ability on top of your current class ability, similar mechanics to how Gunpowder Gamble and Ionic Sentry work. Bubble can be charged with void weapon and void ability kills, six charges will be required.

- Once charged, you’ll be able to cast a bubble on the field and provide the following benefits. This will provide temporary physical cover for you and allies, a strong protective overshield while inside the bubble, and provide special and heavy ammo to guardians on the first entry of the bubble. Ammo provided will be the same amount as a ammo finder mod and can only be utilized once for each guardian.

- This version of bubble will be A LOT weaker however and won’t be able to sustain more than about 4 seconds of heavy continuous fire from groups of enemies. If not broken, bubble will stay active for 15 seconds before disappearing. Bubble will have a 7 second activation cooldown from when it’s either broken of disappears. Only provides two fragment slots.

- This version will NOT provide “void overshield” to allies OUTSIDE of the bubble, only a strong overshield while inside, similar to old perk armor of light. This is important to ensure balance among the void aspects, with each of them offering something unquie. New bubble is suppose to be about providing ammo and cover to teamates to support aggressive plays and taking space, not sustaining areas like how Bastion would be played.

Exotic Synergies and Reworks:

- Reintroduce the classic Destiny 1 exotic, Ruin Wings. It’s new perk will be reworked to synergize with the new Offensive Bulwark. Ruin Wings will now allow placed bubbles to provide increased heavy weapon reload speed and more ammo to teamates the longer they stay in the bubble. Bubble health will be increased and the activation cooldown will be removed.

- Rework Helm of Saint 14. New perk greatly increases be size of the bubble. Enemies caught inside the bubble will suppressed, weakened and blinded. Suppressed and weakened enemies take greatly increased melee and shotgun damage.

- Buff the exotic glaive, Edge of Action to synergize with Offensive Bulwark. While running both at the same time, Edge of Action bubbles will provide special ammo for you and teammates that pass through.

- Buff Mask of the Quiet One to synergize with Offensive Bulwark. Bubbles created with this helmet on will now provide devour for you and teamates alongside what it currently does.

- Buff the exotic light machine gun Deterministic Chaos to synergize with Offensive Bulwark. Deterministic Chaos rounds can now shoot through a bubble. Killing enemies while inside the bubble increases the bubbles timer.

Who needs enemies when you have your own sparrow?

Happened to me on a solo flawless VoG attempt lol. Glad it was just at the entrance, not mid raid. Slipstreaming can be dangerous. Pretty funny clip tho :)

Saint 14 plays Beat Saber!

I had some Beat Saber models comissioned a long time ago for Saint 14, Osiris (not shown in video), Lament, and Worldline Zero. I forgot about them until recently, but I figured I would make a quick video with them just to showcase them :)

Very new players (about a week and a half's) POV and asking for advice

hello!! i really love this game lol. i got everything from the humble bundle sale and its honestly some of the most fun ive had while gaming! ive found myself enjoying pretty much every part of the game (especially the hawkmoon my beloved) and i guess its just hard to see why its getting so much hate? i get that theres a "content drought" but honestly theres so much to do its insane. i really loved the story and gameplay in the edge of fate and the goofy starwars stuff but i guess im in the minority lol. anyways i was wondering if some older players have any advice? i really want to get into raiding because it looks super fun but i dont really know anyone who plays the game and im a people pleaser so im scared of letting people down as a new player lol. ty in advance and i hope y'all are having a good day!!!!

Warlocks - Can warlocks crack 300,000 against Koregos?

TL;DR - title

I reached my personal PR for boss DPS against Koregos last night - 248,670 in one phase + final stand. I had 2 wells supporting with no tractor.

Pulled this off with 200 weapon stat. Whirling Ovation/Mint/solar fusion on Getaway Artist.

Dim: https://dim.gg/ko33xyy/Equipped

My next highest DPS rotations:

  1. Solar Sanguine with Wolfsbane: ~210,000

  2. Prismatic Sanguine with Whirling/Mint/Fusion: ~185,000

  3. Prismatic Sanguine with Ergo Sum (unplanned reprieve): ~195,000

  4. Stormdancers brace with rocket pulses / auger does great too, but don't recall numbers

What important rotations am I missing on this list? Have any of y'all contest mode pros uncovered anything that can crack 300,000? I want to flex on my clan
