Player recall and retention in this first weekend has been incredible. This is a 550% increase from the lowest point earlier last month. The question remains is whether word of mouth will keep spreading and next weekends peak will be higher than this weekend. We might see 6 digits throughout the entire holiday season.
In my opinion the legendary campaign is one of the best parts about expansions. Not being able to breeze through everything and actually trying is so fun especially when there is new story content.

Gonna be honest. This has been a terrible summer. Lost some folks that I’ve been close to and my favorite game died.
Glad there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Funny enough. I barely played Destiny 2 vanilla.
I was a Destiny 1 vet back in the beta, but i stopped playing after taken king.
I actually came back to Destiny during season of arrivals right before they vaulted the original campaigns. I barely got to experience them.
I’m glad I get to experience them once again. Thank you all for your unwavering support for this community and this franchise.
In a span of 5 or so months the game got a complete overhaul. So much for the better. With a game like Marathon so much can change given how lean it is. I imagine whatever they are delaying the season 3 for will be worth it
-Overhauled perimeter (apparently an entire underground section the size of the overworld)
-Complete PvE experience
-Multiple new bosses w/ compiler in Tau Ceti
-TDM mode
A lot of these on their own seem like great additions but combined I think this will be a great release. Just let the devs cook. I am looking forward to it.
After the previews today I’m really itching to get it….

Ever since Elden Ring came out in 2022 we’ve have consistently had a FromSoftware release every single year. What other studio can say the same?

2026 - The Duskbloods
Hopefully this means we will get a new Single player focused title in 2027 or 2028. Regardless I’ve been really enjoying Nightreign lately.
This was the last update, it was just a bug fix. Telling us to have patience and that there will be more updates.
I don’t think Nightreign is over and whatever they are cooking up next will probably be huge.
If you look at the West side of the map you see there is a very large structure that takes over multiple POIs from North Relay all the way down south of Hauler. There are multiple blocked off doors and up until now has served very little purpose outside of a key room.
This structure connects to the data wall and hauler and is probably the primary facility of decrypting whatever planetary data they see.
In my opinion this section will be opened up in Season 3 and will serve as an introduction to whatever Alien presence is inside the planet and whatever is happening with the Anomaly.
The structure is very large, covers multiple POIs (WAY LARGER THAN UPPER COMPLEX) and is inside of the mountain.
If I were a betting man, I would say that there is going to be significant PvE encounters inside this area and put Upper Complex to shame in terms of potential PvE expansion and mechanics.
I’ve read all the updated lore and holy smokes. They could really knock it out of the park with a D3 Vanilla campaign focused on the Hive Pantheon.
If they were to have like 4-5 destinations I could see them doing.
1.) Old Chicago
2.) Enceladus
3.) Distributary
4.) Torobatl
5.) Simulated Fundament
The storyline could follow many threads about the hive and escaping the flower game/winnower as well as the nine. Packaging all of this in one release would be insane. They could have “2” endgame destinations with Raid activities/endgame activities on Torbarl and Fundament each.
I could even see Torobatl be some sort of Division dark zone. Also Distributary because of the weird things Mara Sov said.
I just dropped $40 on the new season pass, Theif skin and Assassin Arachne skin….. sue me
I will buy 2 PS6s one for me and one that I will force my wife to play Destiny 3 with me on.

If you look carefully you can see the outline of a triangle. I think this is the scar from the portal the witness made and now it’s fully healed and closed.
I also think this means the Traveller will be back in the last city fully healed but with the outline from the portal.
