Hey everybody, first time trip to Japan doing the basic golden loop with day trips to kawaguchiko and Hiroshima. Still confused about some aspects of the trip if some days could be busier / should remove a few things etc. travelling with my partner both in our early 20s

I have a international trip booked in a few months and my return flight is meant to land at about 7pm I’m debating getting the train straight back from Sydney to Adamstown. My only question is what is the train like during that time of night ? Is the train full of goblins, does anybody get a train at a similar time and can vouch for the safety of getting a train at that time ?
For further context we return a Wednesday night
