I know steam probably isn’t the most ideal way to do this, but they do offer the ability to use your desktop away from home. I do this quite often at work and it works remarkably well. The PC I am streaming is a Windows 11 desktop, and the computer I use to remote access the PC is a portable MacBook air.
Since about last week, whenever I open certain settings on the Win11 PC while streaming, it renders my Macbook mouse and keyboard completely inoperable as input to the stream. I haven’t tested with many things, but so far Windows Defender Firewall and opening On Screen Keyboard instantly revokes any input from my Mac. The stream is not disconnected or anything, it’s just from that moment onward I cannot put in any input, meaning I can’t turn off my home PC until I get home from work.
Anyone else have this issue? Would appreciate any advice.
