We’re based in the UK and are in the process of buying a house. We’d really like to add a downstairs WC, but the under-stairs cupboard needs to stay as it’s currently our only storage space.

At the moment, I’m considering a small extension off the kitchen, although I’m struggling to visualise how it would work in practice. The kitchen opens directly onto the back garden, so that’s the area we’d potentially have available to extend into.

Are there any other layout ideas or clever ways to incorporate a downstairs WC without losing essential storage space?
