Need help with Airalo eSIM on Samsung S24 ultra — no data, APN/ICCID mismatch
Hi everyone. I’m trying to use an Airalo Europe eSIM on a Samsung phone, but I cannot get mobile data to work.
Important context: I had installed/used the Airalo app years ago but never actually used an eSIM back then. Recently, I reinstalled Airalo, bought/paid for a new Europe eSIM, and tried to use it now.
The Airalo app shows my Europe eSIM package with 50 GB / 90 days remaining. It also says the APN should be:
globaldata
On my Samsung, I can see an eSIM profile listed as eSIM 1 / Airalo, and it is turned ON. However, I noticed something weird: the ICCID shown in the Airalo app for my Europe package appears different from the ICCID shown in Samsung SIM Manager for the installed eSIM profile.
What I tried:
- Set mobile data to the Airalo eSIM
- Turned data roaming ON
- Manually added APN:
- Name: Airalo
- APN: globaldata
- Selected the APN
- Restarted the phone
- Turned airplane mode on/off
- Tried scanning the Airalo QR code again
When I tried scanning the QR code again, Samsung showed:
“Your eSIM isn’t ready yet. For more information, contact your service provider.”
My question: Could my phone be detecting an old Airalo/eSIM profile instead of the new Europe eSIM I just purchased? Has anyone seen an ICCID mismatch between the Airalo app and Samsung SIM Manager? Should Airalo support reset/reissue the eSIM, or is there another Samsung setting I should check?
Any advice would be appreciated.
