Stop signs are still stop signs even if it’s a national park.

Was driving behind a Mercedes on the way to general store, he ran every single stop sign on the way (3 of them) and became enraged when I gave him a beep. He proceeded to fully stop in the road and get out and do the classic road rage yelling, it was very interesting. Also didn’t know what a directional was. He was yelling and threatening me but I just stayed in my car, and of course, he looked like a little ultra runner. California plates unsurprisingly as well. Is it crazy to think that normal traffic laws apply in the park? And people coming from maswik turning left towards Ranger ops? Why on earth can’t they stop? Rangers if you’re reading this, you could write so many tickets there instead of trying to catch random locals doing nothing. Or south Kaibab! People think that they can just drive in there or pull in and block the bus, it’s really getting old. Can’t even beep at someone for running 3 stop signs😞

Grand Canyon Roads and Elk

Hello, I live and work in the park. Will give no bs answers to anything. Certain PSA is PLEASE PULL ENTIRELY OFF THE ROAD IF YOU HAVE TO STOP AND LOOK AT AN ELK. I see tourists sit across the yellow line and then act confused when I tell them to move, and sometimes they just block the road. It doesn’t matter if its a national park please just don’t make yourself an inconvenience to others. It is dangerous and inconsiderate behavior. If all the tourist were Japanese it would be easier but all the stupidest people here are from the USA and still can’t understand signage. It’s insane. Also most of the rescues are Americans as well. Please raise your IQ.
