The Reddit community has been great and has helped me. I wish to give back. How do I filter recent posts on a specific sub-reddit so I can see if I can answer a question?
I recently purchased a used Jet JJ-6CSX 6" jointer. It needed some cleanup and adjustments but I got it running. Then, I went to try the rabbeting feature. I tightened the knob that controls the angle and loosend the knob to let the fence slide. As I pulled the fence toward the rabbet ledge, the rod that the tilt sleeve runs on hit the pulley (see pictures). I took one photo showing the whole fence for perspective. Two shots show the pulley with the fence removed. The fence bracket is flush with the outfeed table. The vertical shot shows the rod hitting the pulley.
Any ideas as to why this is happening? The 45 deg and 90 deg stops work perfect otherwise.
