I’m a late in life Mamma looking for community connection in NEPA. I brought my youngest to Rohrbach’s in Catawissa last Friday for Toddler time and she was all smiles. Mamma got to shop for some fresh eats and baby girl was hunkered out by naptime. We met some wonderful families there and plan to go back again! Parents, what are your Summer and Fall go-to’s for your littles? I want all the suggestions I can get!
I wanted to warn any grooms and brides about the conduct of TM’s marketing girl and business approach of one of the co-owners of PTLCC. I was out running some errands the other day with my kiddos. I overheard the conversation of a young lady who was describing a caviar cart business in the area, for abbreviated purposes, POTLCC (full name in title). She mentioned to the person she was talking to that she was the co-owner of the little cart and the marketing girl for another business Tuscan micro greens . I think they sell the greens you can use as garnish in some grocery stores in the area. I thought the cart idea was fun, and considered going over to ask her a few questions for my nephew’s upcoming wedding. Before I did, she started to tell the woman she was talking to that she plans on taking bookings for the September -September season now, but warned she might have to cancel very last minute on some of the bookings due to personal reasons. I overheard the woman asking how far in advance couples or venues would receive notice of cancelation, and she said it’s at the little cart’s discretion to cancel same day, no refund on deposits. I would hate to see someone book them for their guests and lose out on feeding them for your event, and lose your deposit. She seemed very young and had other priorities on her mind. When I passed by her in the parking lot she was having a full public emotional meltdown over clothing she couldn’t buy? It was very odd behavior. I would recommend booking a more experienced vendor. Seeing the way she acted in public put a pause on me approaching her to inquire about the cart. Would she behave that way in a professional setting? I think it’s wonderful to see young people starting businesses in this area, however; they must understand the importance of business conduct on or off the clock. After hearing her conversation it did inspire me and I shared the idea with my nephew and his fiancé. They’re going to work with their event planner and just hire a staff member or two to pass the caviar. They’re sourcing and selecting the caviar themselves, making it a fun experience for them both!
