Does this reflect how you practise? Driver accounts for 20% of all shots

We looked at the aggregated club usage on our platform for July and found a pretty clear pattern: the driver was used for 20.3% of all recorded shots, followed by the 7 iron at 12.2% and the 8 iron at 10.4%. Longer clubs such as the 3 wood and 5 wood were used much less frequently.

Does this reflect your own practice sessions? Which clubs do you hit most often at the range or on your launch monitor?

shotdata.io update. Thanks to the GolfSimulator community

Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago I introduced shotdata.io here and received some fantastic feedback. Many of you signed up, uploaded sessions, reported bugs, suggested features, and shared ideas on how you analyse your launch monitor data.

Thank you! It has helped improve the platform much faster than I could have done on my own.

For anyone who missed the original post:

I’m Chris from Switzerland and the founder of shotdata.io. The platform is built to help golfers get more value from their launch monitor data. The goal isn’t just to display numbers but to help golfers understand their practice, track progress over time, and identify areas for improvement.

What you can do today

  • Import data from 15+ launch monitors, including Garmin, FlightScope, Rapsodo, SkyTrak, GSPro and more.
  • Analyse every club with detailed trends, dispersion, consistency and historical performance.
  • Compare practice sessions to measure your progress over time.
  • Compete on global and country leaderboards for longest carry, highest ball speed and more.
  • Explore your shot data with interactive dashboards and detailed statistics.

What’s coming next

  • Range Ball Adjustments to compensate for limited-flight range balls.
  • A Golf Coach module that turns your data into actionable practice recommendations.
  • More community features to make the platform even more engaging.

I’d love to hear from the community:

  • What feature do you use most?
  • What’s still missing?
  • Which launch monitor should we support next? Link to supported LM's

You can try it here for free:
https://shotdata.io

As always, thank you to everyone who shares feedback and ideas. The platform continues to evolve because of the community.

Shot Scope LM1

Does anyone has already tested the new shot scope launch monitor and knows if there is the possibility to export your data? I'm using the Garmin R10 for practice purposes but I'm searching for a more convenient way to setup the LM for practice sessions. The R10 is difficult to align to the target line in my opinion. Thanks for any advise.
