Cheap goods at station: buy or pass?

Cheap goods at station: buy or pass?

I’m thinking of buying a new suitcase and saw this vendor at a station. of course, discount looks too good to be true so I looked up the brand online and I can’t find much. Amazon brought up a similar brand with the same “original cost discounted to a (probably permanently) super-low price” shtick.

Made in China, maybe a drop shipping company I thought and they’ve been sitting there for a few days.

Anyone have any good experiences buying these or should I follow my gut and pass?

*edit: ok thanks everyone, you all gave me some extra insight that I was also seeking out. I am looking for something I can use more than once so this will get a hard pass.

The worker was trying to entice me by saying “pick it up!! Isn’t it so light??” But it felt like cheap plastic light, not solid construction materials light; I even have a clamshell American Tourister that has taken a hell of a beating but still going a decade later. Even looks like it got thrown off a plane.

These felt like if they lightly pushed over, they‘ll shatter.

If anyone is in Tokyo, check out the Sega shop in Shinjuku…

this is at the Shibuya Parco mall (with the Pokémon center, Nintendo store, Capcom store, etc).

lots of limited goods for the 30th anniversary set (would‘ve loved to get that evoker set).

[Request] certain US chips to Japan

First time using this subreddit, but I've been encouraged to try asking here.

There's certain chips I'd love to be able to snack on but they simply don't sell them in Japan, nor on amazon.jp.

I'm particularly looking for:

Sweet Spicy Chili Doritos

Golden Sriracha Doritos (are these new?)

Sweet Hawaiian Krunchers

Chili Cheese Fritos

Fritos Scoops

I'm sure there's a few more I can't think of but these are the ones I haven't had for a long time.

Let me know if you're interested in an exchange!

External HDD data recovery services around Tokyo?

My external drive took a bad fall and now it gave the bad clicks when I checked if it was OK (I know, I probably shouldn't have plugged it in). Unfortunately I know it'll likely need to be cracked opened in a clean room so it'll be quite pricey.

I tried to Google some services around the Kanto (like Tokyo/Kanagawa/Chiba) but either I can't find the information I want to find or the business seems to be gone, though site or information is still up.

Anyone know where I might be able to get these services done? It's not urgent since it's been a while since it happened.
