Studying in a language school and preparing for EJU? I have some questions.( what skills should I learn?)

Hello! I am an undergraduate trying to study in Japan,

I have the n5 Japanese language certificate and I am planning to get into a Japanese language school in fukuoka or maybe in Kyoto or Osaka.

Although I am still going to apply for universities that offer English programs but with my average score in high school it might not be accepted, so I plan to study Japanese in a language school and prepare for the EJU exam and study in Kyushu University.

But I have some doubts, I am a little shy and while I can cook for myself and the basic stuff, I have no experience with how I will handle my documentation and extending study visa and stuff, ( I’m hoping I’ll get staff support) and is the language school going to teach me Japanese in a way that I’ll be able to take on Japanese studies in Japanese or will it be more speaking and less writing and reading? And how do I know which language school focuses on what.

I did check websites of multiple language schools but nothing pointed at what type of Japanese I’ll be learning.

Also I plan to major in economics and finance, so not a lot of English program schools available so language schools might be my best bet. Other than that is there anything that an 18 year old like me should aware of, challenges that I might face, stuff like miscommunication or maybe danger or anything else that I am missing out.

And I don’t know how to fit stoves and set up my room, I assume rooms come with furniture and appliances already there and I won’t need to figure shit out myself,

And what other skills should I learn?!
