Apparently Spielberg produced a proto-Disclosure Day Sci-Fi channel mini-series called Taken (2002) ???

Feels like a looser version of the LA Takedown-Heat situation. Spielberg didn't direct it, but it's wild how this scene is basically the same idea as the abduction in Disclosure Day.

The first episode is directed by Tobe Hooper. The second episode is directed by Breck Eisner, who listeners of Podcast the Ride will know as Michael Eisner's very influential son.

Shoutout to u/kugglaw for bringing this series to my attention in another thread on this sub

Why did they rename Lisle von Rhuman to Viola Van Horn?

Saw the show yesterday and loved it! does anyone know why they made this seemingly arbitrary name change from the movie?

The Phantom Podcast for Disclosure Day: can you discuss it without acknowledging its relationship to Spielberg’s life and work?

The reading of the movie is so intensely tied to what’s know about the man. It will be fascinating to try to take it on its own terms.

In the wake of Mother Mary I was wondering what he might do next, and I was trying to think of other minor Disney works he could re-adapt a la Pete's Dragon.

I think Lowery would crush a live action The Black Cauldron.
