Update I think we have all the extra swabs accounted for, thanks for the quick replies.

I have a couple extra swabs of Validus x VRG. I can get them in the mail tomorrow or the next day.

Fairly normal looking Doug Fir in Western Washington. Maybe a bit sparse. I recently noticed these small holes in the bark approx 2mm in diameter. Maybe some sort of beetle?
