Hi everyone, I’m Korean and currently living in Vancouver, Canada. I have a very Korean name that can be difficult for English speakers to pronounce, so during university I ended up going by my last name instead.
For example, if my name is Eunyoung Lim, I just went by “Lim” in school.
I also have an English nickname that I’ve used at Starbucks and in my part-time job. I worked there for over three years, and even regular customers had trouble remembering my real name, so I stuck with a simple, common English name (like Emily, Rachel, Grace, something that doesn’t need spelling out) than that was when they started to remember the name(they were very nice people tho)
Now that I’ve graduated, I’ve been job hunting using my legal name, but it hasn’t been going very well. I’m in a creative field, and I’m wondering if I should use my English name on my resume, portfolio and LinkedIn instead. Also, my portfolio domain and work email is my legal name. Should I change all of it, not just resume?
Has anyone been in a similar situation? What name did you end up using professionally?
Hi everyone, I’m building a website on this template called “Portez,” and I really want to know what this animation is called and wish to create a custom component that works exactly like this(flip when hovering?), but with different icons. I tried to create one with the Variant option, but it just doesn’t work with it.
If anyone can help me out with figuring out what the animation called, I would be really really appreciated.
