Looking at a first bike, and iv settled on either a ninja 500 or a 650. I like the styling and the parallel twin seems like a good starting point for me. I’ve gone to a couple dealers in my area and sat on both models and like the feel of them. Weirdly to me, I’m more flat footed on the 650. I do want the TFT display that comes on the 500 se and the 650s, but it’s hard to find a used 500 se in my area. I’m seeing some maybe good deals on 650s though, between $6k and $6800. What’s a realistic asking price for a used 650?

Possibly coming into a 2016 650 and was curious how these are for newer riders? My step brothers father has developed some severe health issues and can’t ride anymore, so I could be getting the bike for next to nothing. It has been sitting for a while, so new tires, battery, possibly chain and sprockets (can assess when I actually see it) will all be likely but expected. Height wise, I’m 5’7” so how is the bike for shorter riders? I’m sure I’ll have more questions eventually.
