Hi there!

I am a 32-year-old female struggling with hormonal acne. I first visited my dermatologist in September 2025, and she prescribed Spironolactone 50 mg. I’ve been taking it consistently since then, and my acne improved significantly. I didn’t have any new breakouts for the last five months.

However, over the past couple of weeks, I’ve started breaking out again, with new pimples appearing one after another, just like before I started treatment.
Has anyone experienced something similar while taking spironolactone? Is this common, or should I schedule a follow-up appointment with my dermatologist?
