Jewel case/ digisleeve

Jewel case/ digisleeve

It seems most CDs now come in some card based sleeve, but I prefer jewel cases. To me, they just feel ‘right’ for this format, but then I did first buy a CD in 1988. I noticed The Cranberries remasters of No Need To Argue and EEIDISWCW? are both released in traditional jewel cases, which I think looks great for these albums. I am curious to know if CDs released like this appeal to buyers now, or are they now more used to/ happy with the various card based versions nowadays? It’s not a world ending problem, but I’m just interested what collectors currently think. And I wonder what made secured the decision to release these two albums against the majority market direction. I note also the new Ringo Starr album is jewel cases too. Maybe there are lots more and I’ve just not been so aware!
