While playing as a MW Rook, during the quest where we get Emmerich, Emmerich tells us to go find a wisp. I find the wisp and say “hail the eyes of the dead”. I brought along Harding and she says “hail the eyes of the dead!” And then she says “oh I thought it was prayer like in the Chantry..”. It was so cute and unexpected.
Has anyone else brought along a companion that said something unexpectedly cute or funny?

Spoilers for Veilguard’s version of Vallaslin below

I’m playing as an Elf in Veilguard, specifically a Veil Ranger Elf as I had assumed I can be a Dalish. Nope! So I restarted because I read somewhere that you had to pick the “tattoo option” when looking in Varric’s mirror to get the option of being a Dalish Elf. I did so and I was met with the stupidest thing I’ve heard in Veilguard.

Rook looks in the mirror and says “The Vallaslin are sacred for the Elves. I didn’t grow up Dalish, but they’re not the only ones who have a claim on being Elven.”.

WHAT?! Vallaslin is sacred TO THE DALISH and only the Dalish have/had Vallaslin tattoos on their face as it’s part of their coming of age ritual. I can understand it’s Veilguard’s way of allowing a non Dalish Rook to have tattoos of Elven Gods, but c’mon. Word it better to have it make sense. That or remove Vallaslin tattoos altogether for non Dalish Rooks.

Major spoilers below after recruiting the Grey Warden in Veilguard!

After recruiting Davrin, the Gods attack Treviso and Minrathous. We go to whichever we want and Ghils there. She demands we give up the D.W.’s Dagger. We don’t and she sends her dragon to attack us and SAYS that our dead bodies will be used in her experiments.

We get the dragon to 3/4 health and then she calls the dragon back. I’m confused as to why? We were right there, she can see we’re nothing special. Even if we do kill the dragon, she could’ve revived it via blight.

Besides the game needing us to proceed, is there any other in-game lore as to why Ghila’nain lets us live and get away?
