Some herons cooling off next to the St. Paul airport this morning
Saw this one earlier in the day but it was too far away to get a good pic. Luckily the train moved while I was at work so here you go!
Saint Paul police didn’t pull over someone who ran a red light directly in front of them.
Was on my way home today and while I normally see one or two people run a red light every single day, today there was actually a police officer there when it happened at the intersection of Payne and Phalen! The cops saw it happen, saw me point and gesture towards the offending vehicle, and then they just drove off in a different direction and did nothing about it.
Mayor Her doesn't believe we can build enough housing to solve homelessness.
"If everybody who could build built we couldn't build ourselves out of the problems that we're in right now of having housing for the people who deserve housing."
Edit: Really didn't expect this post to be so divisive. You can argue that she's right that we can't build our way out of this problem (despite mountains of evidence to the contrary), and she makes a good secondary point that when we do build permanent housing for the homeless it should come with supportive systems, but those are two separate points and she clearly phrases it as such. To say that I'm taking this out of context is disingenuous at best. She directly states that housing with supportive systems is the ONLY way to help people who are the most vulnerable, not just part of the solution like some in the comments are implying. The number one driver of homelessness is housing unaffordability and the only way to solve that is with massively increasing housing supply of all kinds.

Beyond the general style giving it away, the non-functional QR code is what really bothers me. But regardless, hope everyone enjoys Play on Payne this summer!
What if the AirPods with cameras rumor is actually just the Apple Glasses with bone conduction audio?
Or a variation of the open ear speakers from the Vision Pro. Would be a clever way for them to hide their true intentions!

Anybody have more info about the skyscrapers shown in this rendering of the River's Edge? Ramsey County announced a park in this location but made no mention of other development like this.
This screenshot came from a May 9th instagram post by the Mayor at the annual downtown alliance meeting.

Westbound lane is clear!
Cars parked in the bike lanes on Arlington for a week with no tickets or tows.
I’ve seen police drive past here multiple times in the past week but these illegally parked vehicles have still not been towed.
