URGENT: Request for wet/dry food to feed stray colony w 200+ street cats
I operate a cat rescue and feeding program for a local stray colony in my hometown of Antalya, Türkiye. With donations down and over 200cats relying on me, I’m struggling to make ends meet..
Recently, I had to make the difficult decision to stop feeding the street cats so I can focus resources on the 24cats currently receiving care at our rescue. Some are here recovering from illness, some receive ongoing medical care, others need daily medication or require a special diet. Many were abandoned and found struggling to survive, lacking proper shelter, food, and veterinary services.
With supplies dwindling, it’s our cats who pay the real price. These animals didn’t ask for this fate. They simply had the misfortune of being born into a region where they’re viewed as a nuisance, instead of an honorary member of the family. But society’s shortcomings shouldn’t result in the unnecessary suffering of living, breathing beings.
