Getting ready to rebuild 4r100 transmission
I have a 1998 f350 7.3 4wd that has every gear except reverse.
After some research I’ve decided to take the summer and rebuild the transmission. I have absolutely no experience with transmissions beyond fluid and filter changes.
I ordered the astg book, a tranny Jack adapter, a couple lip seal tools, a dial indicator, and a spring compressor.
I’m currently getting stuck ordering the rebuild kit. I don’t need anything fancy, I don’t drive or plow snow hard. I don’t tow anything terribly heavy. I don’t want to be missing anything in the rebuild kit when I sit down to lay everything out on the bench in the garage. I added a link below, is there anything missing? Am I forgetting any tools? If this is the wrong sub for dummies like me, just point me in the right direction!
