Worth it to tune up TM AUG A1 or buy new?
In my teenage years, I bought a used TM AUG A1 that never really shot well. I had a local shop look at it and get the gearbox tuned up, but it still had issues with misfeeding BBs that I think plagued many AUGs.
It has been stored indoors pretty much over the past 20 years and I brought it out with hopes of playing with it. It's mainly a toy for me to plink around in the backyard, not for any actual competition. I've also found airsoft guns useful for knocking down some wasp nests under the house eaves.
Should I spend time trying to fix it up? Apparently, I have some extra parts I bought in my youth. I can't say I'm a great airsoft tech that can put a gearbox together blindfolded, but I am very handy and am willing to learn from tutorials.
The other option is to purchase a new AEG. The Snow Wolf seems to be the preferred AUG clone at stock.
