Crazy that a snow storm will be this ski season’s final dagger (for me)

I just can’t seem to wrap my head around the notion that a snow storm is what’s closing Timberline tomorrow after the season we’ve had. If you told me it would be due to lack of snow…well that would make perfect sense.

I’m gone next weekend so this weekend was going to be my last hoorah with my spring pass. Even though they may open Sunday, I’m guessing Palmer will be closed. Everyone crammed on Mile sounds less appealing. Plus, as of today you can’t even ski up to the Mile lift due to lack of snow!

Sorry to whine. No one in my household understands why I’m affected so here I am on Reddit. Despite the bad snow conditions this season, I had one of the best years ever on the mountain. Mt Hood is definitely a special place. Thanks for the good vibes, everyone. See you next year!

Thank you fellow Redditors for providing this tip. I want to confirm it worked for me. I had PR for about two weeks (so itchy) and then I got 4 (10 minute) tanning sessions (every other day for a week). I also started taking 3000mg daily of L-Lysine. The PR started going away after 2 tanning sessions. It was basically gone by the end of the week of tanning.

I know my experience won’t be the same for everyone but I’m certain it was the ‘cure’ for me. What a relief.

The photo is from when it was at its worst, for reference.
