Incursion LARP (New New England LARP). Charlton, MA

I'm putting a call out to any and all LARPers who would be willing/interested in traveling to New England for a new fantasy style larp. This September I'll be running an alpha playtest for a LARP I've been developing. It's meant to be a high immersion PvPvE style event designed around, combat, diplomacy, exploration and subterfuge.

The premise is this: Recently a new island has been discovered located between several nations. A powerful trading company has cleared a beach head and set up a small town on the island. Not long after rumors spread of the discovery of a plethora of new resources, one of which is a strange new type of metal ore, one that can absorb and be imbued with magical properties. As word spreads of these fascinating new discoveries, the various nations send off expeditionary forces to the island to stake claims and ship these new valuable commodities home.

Come and join one of the four factions to fight, quest, and explore this dangerous new frontier. Which one will you join and how will you help them succeed? Will you be a warrior? A mage? A Tradesperson? or perhaps something a little more outside the law like a rogue?

Seravel- A Magocratic society who relies on various mercenary companies for their martial needs. Aesthetically based on Italian Renaissance and Landsknecht styles, with a color palette of blue, gold, and white.

Castonia- A chivalric, feudal society based on the knights of Arthurian legends. They pull their aesthetics from German, English, and French medieval societies in a palette of black, red, and white

Kazmara- Originally two separate cultures, the Kazmaran alliance formed out of necessity and mutual benefit as it pertains to trade, but over time have become two sides of the same coin. This faction pulls inspiration from various cultures in the equatorial region including Morocco, Japan, The Philippines, and other Southeast Asian cultures in a palette of Aqua, Teal, and Orange.

Thrithoda- The three tribes of the Thrithoda once waged war among themselves, but eventually came together and formed a council system to govern all of their mutual interests. Their aesthetics and culture are influenced heavily by ancient Viking, Rus and Mongolian cultures.

The weekend of September 4th we'll be running a playtest of our current rule set. If everything goes well, we'll start working on a Kickstarter campaign afterwards. If you'd like to get in early and help this New England based LARP grow and succeed, there's no time like the present!
