Hey guys,

I’m working on a side project to help small construction shops automate their phone routing when they’re out on a roof or job site. I notice a lot of guys here mention missing customer calls because they’re busy doing actual manual labor.

The idea is basically an automated AI voice assistant that answers missed shop calls and lets people book an estimate slot on the calendar instead of just leaving a voicemail.

I wanted to get some brutally honest feedback:

• For Homeowners: If you call a local contractor for a remodeling or roofing quote and a conversational AI answers instead of a human or an answering machine, do you hang up instantly? Or would you actually use it to book an estimate?
• For Contractors: How do you handle missed leads when you're stuck on a site? Would you ever trust a bot to handle your primary shop line, or does the idea sound completely useless for this industry?

Just trying to see if this is a real problem worth solving or if I'm wasting my time. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

let me tell you what happened... So like my father has a fucking cigarette addiction, he's an addict, he lost his job, he is crazy these days, hes a fucking maniac... so he took us to see fireworks, I got like 1 minute late, he's like you ruined our fireworks, you got late and you fucking did this and late, I got late to sit in the car.. then after that I told him I wanna go back ohomebut he he took us to his mothers my grandma house, there he was a fucking maniac and telling everyone I made him late nad he couldnt see the firework, although we did see them in the car but when we reached the spot they were finished, then he degraded me infront of his whole family.. then whenit's time to leave, he sat in the car and then i was talking to my cousin and he drove off with my mother and siblings, and then I said goodbye to my cousin and went outta the house, hewas already gone.. then I didn't wanna embarass myself, so I starting wlaking, it took me like 30 minutes for me to keep walking and then reach my home.. Kepp in mind I am disabled for 3 years, I cannot walk long waljks,, I hae aleg disability, I have lvl 3 athritis and leg length discrepancy in my left leg.. I had to walk all the way there and then I ain;t gonna js go back home, i sat in a nearby park forlike 20 minutes.. yhen my mother cried in te house or smtg, she told my grandma about what happened and she told them to come find me and look for me.. keep in mind I didn't have my phone, nothing, no money.... So then she called like 3 times atleast that's what she said.. then my cousin family got out in the car and started looking for me... they kept looking for like idk what time... and btw my father was all the time still at home sitting... then my cousins that im talking about is actually my father's sister's family.. they got in the car and started looking for me all arounf and then they finally found me in the park and they came to me and shit and like were like nothing happens, these probelms happen, its fine, go to your home and then I told them my parents will come then ill go, then they calledmy mom and my mom came with my youger brother and the cousin family left.. they probably were mad asf too like my cousin family... then mom came and talked to me for like 20 minutes and said when my father dont got no job he gets crazzy... she told me everyone knows your father is crazy, i was like i aint coming back... then i cried and gave like 10-20 slurs at my bitch ass fucing father... and then i sat there for another like 20 minutes and then the time was like 10:50 pm, and then my father left the house, my mother started crying again saying your father left the house, he's mentally deranged he can't think properly cuz he cant earn and ur stressing him out too and shit I dont fucking care, I've never ever seen somebody do that to thier own kid fuck you both... and then yeah my father acc js left the rented house and went to his fucking restaurant job at like 11 pm and hes gonna come back at like 3 am after going out with prostitutes... like i dont know he has an hr job, but restaurants close at 10 pm, its ordered by the government in my city, and like till 3 am what tf does he do.. snort cocaine or wht the fuck... no restaurant is open till 3 am.... so I went backto my house and here I am writing this..nah the thing is that idk my father is crazy and has mental issues.. so like if i do go to a friends or a relatives house.. then what??, they'll probably js send me back home or let my parents knwo im there and then my father gon come and beat me up and shit.. I have js one friend I trust but I think he'll only let me stay for 1-2 days maybe and I'll probably get suepr embarassed to stay there cuz i've nevrer shared thissituation like this my family to him ever...look im 15 male. m,y mother has like some money of mine saved up as gold, I'll take that from her, Now I know freelancing, I know I can get clients, and I know I can do cold calling and generate money... so now the thing is I need a mobile most probably right, to earn moneynad stuff and cold call??.... I have ID card as well... I dont have a driver's liscence or a bank account.. I'm alone.. I have ID card though.. now whatonly like one of my friend.. like he's the one who I can trust but only for 1-2 days, I don't want to cause him any trouble orhis family.. his mother is quite understanding but taking achild in home is something very very insane... requires alot of fucking idk what but courage.. even for a day or two... so then imma call some like protection service or sm bs.... yeah that's it.... imma stay there,hopefully they "protectionservices' don't rob me.... i'll try to rent a laptop, buy a phone... yeah that's it...he has two older brothers, one 17, one 21he would probably agree, most probably.. but like still, I need a place to stay, I ain't staying someplace at my friends house uninvited...
