I have noticed this in my dog's mouth. It's as hard as a tooth but darker in color. He doesn't have two incisors that were supposed to be there, one never grew (the one at the spot where this thing is now growing) and the other was extracted because he broke it and the pulp was showing.

What could this be? Vet visit yes or no? He doesn't seem to be in any pain
