Thinking of routing oil temp(I think) wire behind timing with some insulating tape to protect it. Bad idea or fine? It was originally just dangling over the front timing cover and kind of ugly.

Turbo brake backing plates help
Hey all, having an issue with the calipers on my 86 951, the side plates are gummed up to the point that new brakes won't fit in and the Allen bolt is stripping when I try to take them off to clean. Pics included, any tips on taking these off or cleaning them without a professional rebuild? Would it be safe to just hammer the pads in past them? Thanks
