RWD, Wheel Speed Sensor saga
Hey guys,
Looking for some feedback here
A few years back I had the infamous wheel speed sensor Xmas lights. I swapped the battery and all was good.
Now I'm getting it again. Swapped to a new battery, not fixed.
Usually, turning off, and back on fixes it.
I bought a wheel speed sensor. J5050. Installed it yesterday. Cleared DTC. Was fine all day.
Today, first start, it was Christmas on my dash after a minute of driving. Turned off, at my first errand stop, and all's fine after.
So I started looking into parts again. It's hard to get definitive answer on if the RWD variants use a "bearing sensor" on the front wheels. Parts shops specifically say that part is for rear wheels and also the infoline guide I have does too.
Anyone with RWD and brembos have this issue on front wheels and needed a bearing cap replacement? What is that part? I got a number of the back of the cap while I was under the car: PA66-GF35, but that does not seem to be a part number. At least one you can buy.
Also I'm starting to suspect that maybe my spark plugs are a factor.
They are a little overdue to replace but not noticeably slow at starting the car. I have replacements already. But not installed. I suppose it could be possible that it's taking some amount of time longer to crank causing a voltage drop enough on cold starts?
