Leveraged stocks and CFDs
I'm aware that the purpose of leveraged stocks and CFDs is to deliver multiple performance gains/loses of the underlying stock (in this case, Micron).
However.....please could someone explain to me like i'm 5 why so often, the performance of the leverage stock or CFD doesn't deliver even close to the multiple of the underlying stock??
In the example in my screenshot, Micron is currently 7.73% up today but the 2x leveraged stock is somehow 1.65% DOWN today? Meanwhile the 5x leveraged CFD is 7.97% up which broadly corresponds to the underlying Micron price movement today.
Help?!
