Crow; Red Butterfly

Technically I've seen this mark for a lot longer than the last few weeks but what changed is seeing the redness across the bridge of my nose. I just thought I was blushing or getting a sunburn on my cheeks, no big deal. But I hadn't been outside hardly at all for weeks and I'm moderately sure noses don't typically blush. -.-

When I was young, my cheek would itch and burn right before visiting grandma (I went over once a week to clean). It was so reliable I called it the grandma rash (stupid name I know XD), but it was gone in a day or two usually so again, didn't think much of it...

Any day I went outside to hang out, I reliably got a moderate sunburn. Not enough to blister but I'd come in exhausted, shivering, mild headache, aching muscles and needing to go to bed asap. We called it "sunsickness," and I just got sunsick more easily than the rest of my family. The beach, sunscreen or not, was a place I went to go get sick.

In spite of all the above, I still just.... don't want to deal with it. I don't want to get testing and the test not show anything, I don't want to find out I don't have enough credits for disability and I don't want to apply to disability just to get rejected for not being "disabled enough." But I also feel like I'm hitting a wall now; jobs want super humans and I'm just not...

I have a plan, a thing to print out to find out if I have enough credits, talk to the doctor, then we'll see from there. Maaaybe I can get treatment and maybe it'll be enough I can work somewhat superhumanly... Or qualify for disability.

Haven't made many of these cuz honestly I've been doing really well. BUT I did have a few migraines relatively close together. One of them being the elusive aura type. I've been wanting to describe what they feel like for a while but it had been more than a year since the last one so my memory was a bit fuzzy... walp now I got a refresher and I can talk about it properly. :P

---My first aura story---
In 2017 I was video chatting with my then-boyfriend. It was a really long, fun call and at some point I thought it'd be fun to hang upside down and see how long I could go before I got too uncomfortable. About an hour passed before I started to feel pretty weird, got up, and.... continued to feel weird... vision got blurry, started seeing these black and white zigzags. I tried to research if prolonged inverted dangling is bad for you (spoilers; it is :P), but I had to crank up the font size to about 36pt (10pt is common for most paperbacks and 12pt is the size your teachers made you do papers at). At 36pt I was reading one word at a time on my phone and it was still kinda blurry. Then I went fully blind, seeing a constantly warping kaleidoscope of colors, my arm felt numb and brain felt like it was swimming through muck.

Whole time was still on the call, describing it to my poor boyfriend. After I regained my vision, I started having a more "normal", teeth-knocking-7-hour migraine. Ever since that night, I get them once or twice a year. Never as bad as this one tho. The blind phase only lasts 2-10min and the after-migraine last 2 hours. The one I described in the comic is far more common, far shorter than this monster.

Seems like I may have given myself an amount of brain damage and/or spontaneous reconstruction. 0/5 stars, do not recommend, protek ur brain case frends. :P
