How do I go solo?

How do I go solo?

Hi all

I was that guy who panicked on snake pass and bailed, then had an existential crisis on the way home and posted to reddit.

Thank you all for the advice that followed. I completed the west highland way a couple weeks ago and I can cautiously say I'm hooked.

All your advice, experiences and reassurances were beyond helpful and I look forward to more camps in the future.

I will say though, I was rarely alone while wildcamping, hell, I was always near someone. Next step is going out solo and not freaking out because theres a randy fox somewhere nearby screaming like a banshee (horrible, horrible noise).

Any advice on getting over the jitters, and maybe some advice about camping at my local "wilderness" of kinder (obviously, don't advertise any spots, keep the yobs out etc)

You're all an inspiring and incredible community.

Also a picture of a deer that became my neighbor for a good hour or so.

Hi there

I've just bought an anker zola powerbank for a backpacking trip and am running into issues with it, I got it charged up to 91% at home, disconnected it and tried charging it up at work, which is where the issues started. The charger brick and cable work on my phone but when I plug it into the anker it either flashes the lightning bolt symbol briefly before stopping charging or not at all. Any advice? I'll be going to a very remote area for about a week so it really does need to be somewhat reliable.
