What does Dragon Ball’s massive global expansion mean for the future of Fusion World and Dragon Ball collectibles?

With Dragon Ball continuing to grow into a multi-billion-dollar franchise, including Toei Animation’s reported long-term global expansion plans and a Dragon Ball theme park currently being built in Saudi Arabia, I’m curious what everyone thinks this means for the future of Dragon Ball collectibles.

Do you think broader franchise growth will eventually translate into higher demand for Fusion World cards, sealed products, and other collectibles? Could early sets like SB01 become significantly more desirable years from now if Dragon Ball continues expanding globally?

Or do you think TCG values are mostly driven by factors like print runs, player demand, rarity, and game popularity rather than the success of the Dragon Ball brand as a whole?

Interested to hear both collector and investor perspectives. What are your long-term expectations for Dragon Ball cards and sealed products over the next 5–10 years?

Could SB01 and SB02 be the sets that change Dragon Ball as a TCG?

I’ve been thinking less about individual card prices and more about what SB01 and SB02 could mean for the future of Dragon Ball trading cards as a whole.

For years, Dragon Ball has had dedicated fans, but it has never consistently reached the same collector status as the biggest TCGs. Then SB01 arrived with manga rares, extremely limited supply, and cards that suddenly had collectors, investors, and grading companies paying attention.

Now SB02 seems to be continuing that momentum.

My question is:

Could SB01 and SB02 become the sets that permanently elevate Dragon Ball into a different tier of TCG collecting?

SB01 and SB02 price discussion: How high can these boxes realistically go?

SB01 has gone from roughly $150 at release to over $2,000 per box in a relatively short period, while SB02 has also seen major gains. Recent sales data shows SB01 reaching the $2,000+ range and SB02 continuing to trend upward.

I’m curious what everyone thinks the long-term ceiling is for these products.

What do you think SB01 could realistically reach per booster box one day? What about SB02?

Do you think these will end up being remembered as true “holy grail” Dragon Ball sets, or are we currently witnessing a hype cycle that eventually cools off?
