What should I do?
I work as senior engineer at company A and I am verry happy, the pay is good, people are great and workload is manageable. I received an offer from a other company which is $20k higher base and the bonus is 35% compared to 12% which I currently get. Our industry is booming and for the last 4 years the bonus has been paid in full. This new role will definately be more work as it is a newer and leaner company. At my current company my manager has talked about promoting me soon but IDK were it stands. I want to stay with my current company but the extra money is hard to leave (~$60k+ annually before taxes).
Edit 1: Some of you suggest that I give my notice and see if my current company adjusts my compensation. What impression will my manager get when I tell him about the new job and say they increase my comp and I end up staying. In the long run, does that damage my reputation as someone with high risk of leaving?
