I read this book like foreverrr ago (2020-22?) and i didnt finish it because it got like gore-y (people got like skinned alive or something )( it was someones parents i think that were killed by this evil clan or something if that helps) it was in the sci fi section in my library and it had a black border that was kinda thick (i think) and the middle was orange and was maybe a desert with some grey or black cube shape thing or something. It also described this really big vast city underground(idk if it was underground) and it was about a main character ( a guy) and there was this girl that was maybe part of another story within the book, and the guy met with other people and they went on a mission or something in the desert or something like a desert and they could only go through the sand at certain times becuase of something (maybe monsters) but i forget a lot of stuff if anyone knows anything at all it would mean the world!!
