Centella vs snail mucin for redness, my honest experience after using both
Wanted to put this somewhere because I get the question every time someone sees my routine and I always end up giving the same long answer.
Used Cosrx snail mucin essence for about two years. Liked it for the slip and the surface plumpness in the morning. Didn't really do anything for my underlying redness though, the kind that just sits across my cheeks regardless of what I'm doing. Switched to a centella PDRN serum about 3 months ago. Different category of ingredient, different result. The redness actually went down. I notice it when I look in the mirror without makeup now. Snail mucin felt good immediately. Centella took weeks before I noticed the change but when it came, the change was structural rather than surface.
Both still have a spot in my routine. If your goal is plumpness and slip, snail mucin wins. If your goal is calming reactive or redness-prone skin, centella has been more useful for me!
