Proposal for the constitution thingy

I, u/DwayneMushroom, also known as Big Broshroom, rightful president of the DoR, totally sane, hereby declare the Harpy-Condor Constitution of the Democracy of Reddit null and void. It shall be replaced by the following constitution:

Constitution of the Democracy of Reddit: The Mushroom Draft

== Preamble ==

The Democracy of Reddit recognizes itself as a nation of its people. To prevent the constitution from limiting the true potential of the people of the nation, it shall therefore be limited to only the minimum required to ensure freedom and safety for all.

== The Executive Branch ==

u/DwayneMushroom aka Big Broshroom shall hold full control over the executive branch.

== The Legislative Branch ==

u/DwayneMushroom aka Big Broshroom shall hold full control over the legislative branch.

== The Judicial Branch ==

u/DwayneMushroom aka Big Broshroom shall hold full control over the judicial branch. (To keep the other branches in check of course!)

== Provinces ==

All provinces and their executive, legislative and judicial branches shall be fully controlled by u/DwayneMushroom aka Big Broshroom.

== Amendments ==

This constitution may not be amended, except by u/DwayneMushroom aka Big Broshroom of course.

== Rights ==

Nobody has any rights lmao

== Transition Period ==

To ensure a proper transition to this new constitution, u/DwayneMushroom aka Big Broshroom shall have full power over the executive, legislative and juridical branches in the meantime until its implementation.

Callens burns, Everything burns

Oh, prisoner enslaved in the pit you dug, who holds the key to your own cage so tight you will never escape.

Oh, sailor on the seas of time, who is tarnished by the waves you conjure so much you will never move ahead.

Oh soldier, so enraged by the flames of the past that you are too blind to see you're fighting your own shadow.

Humanity, it swallows you whole like a massive black hole and nothing, nothing escapes it's wrath.

And at the end, you shall have nothing left but hope. So never lose it, my friend. Never, ever, let it go.

Because what if...

What if not all is lost?

What if some tiny speck of that hope might actually be justified?

Oh, how much a man would pay for just a tiny glimpse at his past.

There is no price for time. There is no price for love. There is no price for hope.

No brother, no sister, no president, no king. Nobody can give it to you. Fate lies in no hands but your own. Unfortunately, you can control everything except what matters most: Yourself.

So, those chains that tie you to the ground and keep your wings concealed?

Let them burn.

Let EVERYTHING burn.

And the ashes that remain shall form the soil of a new beginning.

THE GLASS SHATTERS

Oh, great democracy, what have we become? Who is really in charge anymore?

The Capitalists or the Communists?

The Blues or the Reds?

Two sides of the same coin. When the one fails, the other re-emerges.

Many have tried before to break this system, and they ended up nowhere: Bipartisians like the SPP/SPD, apoliticals like Ares, technocrats like the CRC, and so on.

Well, what sets me apart? They were trying to play on both sides. But if you do that, it makes you a centrist. It makes you boring. I am playing on neither side. Because the only thing you all want even more than your side to win? The other side to lose.

I'm not afraid to say it: Your ideology probably sucks. I will not take the side of the left, the right, or anything inbetween. I will take an entirely new side. The side of Dwayne Mushroom.

Here is my promise for when I am a legislator:

I shall do not what you want, but what you need.

I have plenty of ideas: Some will be good, some will be controversial, some will be outright terrible. My aim is not to control you, it is to make you think.

My ask is, give me a chance. The two bloc system is destroying us. Everyone realizes it. Deep down, YOU realize it as well. And nobody does something about it. Except for me.

Why we should ban the ideology most dangerous to our democracy

Democracy isn't perfect. It has many flaws: For example, it can cause a so-called "tyranny of the majority". In many modern-day democracies, safeguards have therefore been set in place. They argue that, to protect it, we must ban ideologies that are dangerous for the survival of democracy.

This has been used as an excuse to ban fascism or communism, but I believe there is an ideology that poses a far greater threat to the DoR. One that kills off engagement, slowly kills the DoR from the inside, and, unlike those aformentioned, actually holds a significant amount of power. The balance of power, even. And, worst of all, it is also incredibly boring.

That is why I am proposing to ban the dangerous ideology of "Centrism".
