How to continue meditation post 10 day course
I completed my first Vipassana Meditation course 5 days ago, and it was a great experience. I sort of hesitated at the first 5 days; initially, they were very tough. I hated it. I hate doing meditation, but on 6-7 days, something clicked that this might actually work out for me, and I won't be lying. I wasn't the best meditator there, or I didn't meditate the whole time. But I think I got to know what the tradition and the meditation practises wanted to do. Now that I have come back to my hometown, I wanted to continue my meditation practises. I sit 40 minutes to 1 hour per day, but I am not sure what I am doing wrong or what I am doing right. I am currently following a simple process:
- Ana Panna where I focus upon my breathing
- Then I focus upon the sensations from head to toe
- Finally, I focus upon all the sensations that I am feeling in my body at once
Is this the correct way to go, or is there anything else that you guys are doing post the first 10-day course? Do let me know. I am a beginner in meditation as well, and really would be helpful and appreciate your help.
