Fear and Hope.

I’m not sure I can keep going like this.

Do you want to give up? After all this?

No, but I am running out of options.

What if I gave you a hand.

How do I know you won’t drop me?

You won’t, but wouldn’t it be better to take the risk and Reminisce
Then to let it go and regret?

But what if I get hurt again?

Then you’ll get right back up.
Not because the pain was too small,
But because you’ve survived it once before.

And what if it breaks me this time?

What if it doesn’t?
What if this is the hand
You’ve been waiting for all along.

take hold of it

In the Shadows of unseen corners,
Is a safety like no other.
No failures to endure,
At the cost of growth.
To dwell in the Shadows
Is to surrender life itself.

Yet Love asks something different:

In the portrait of Love,
we leave the comforts of our skin,
and embrace the unknown.
Inviting Failure into our life
For a chance of something greater
Old wounds split open
Gathering thunder within the cracks

To embrace vulnerability,
Is to welcome change.
For the future is not found in the shadows

It rests within your palm

Enough is all we want

What do we strive to achieve in life?
I find myself pondering this all the time.
Need to find a reason?
Is fulfillment found in success or affection?
To be held without conditions?
Be seen for who we really are?
Enough is sometimes all we want.

First poem

The sun shines through your room
Illuminating an empty spot
That was once so full of joy
Now sits there with a sense of melancholy

As the breeze fills the room
You sit there in silence
Chasing a scent
You’ve long since forgotten

Sitting at the table, sipping your coffee
Mornings that were once full of bliss
Now linger beneath a dreadful shadow

The birds chirp and soar through the sky
Free of shackles and chains
You watch with wishful eyes
waiting for better days to arrive
