The Angela hate
I wanted to share my experience on how Angela is usually viewed in rank because I had this interesting game earlier today. Before I start I wanted to give a run down on what I understand Angela to be, and that is a pseudo Captain America, shes too weak to make any meaningful dives (unless they dont respect your presence), so your primary goal with Angela is to simply bait cooldowns and distract, often called the mosquito play style haha (obviously going for picks when available), however, I believe most of the rank community views Angela as a "dive" tank on the level of Venom, thus people tend to look at an Angelas stats under a similar lense rather than looking at her similarly to a Captain America. With that said I would like to go into my game earlier today.
The game starts and we are running a 2-2-2 comp, so I was comfortable going Angela, the match starts and I am harassing their supports, basically forcing their CnD to use their fade off cooldown, not only that, I have a bucky looking at me and spamming his cooldowns at me on sight, at one point I had both of their supports patty caking as I dragged them away from point while both of their dps are chasing me, I thought I was getting good value, and I had not even died once, however, on the stat board I had only two kills by the time we made it to second point, I was 2-0-0, my team then starts typing in chat, berating me to swap, making fun of my stats etc etc, I pointed out that I had half the team on me the whole game and they should find it easy to push up, but they kind of hit me with the "yeah yeah" and continued berating me regardless, I did however have an Invisible woman on my team who actually recognised the value I was generating and tried defending me, but was ignored. This overall was fairly irritating but I actually started playing better using their hate as encouragement haha, and I died on point trying to stall at the end of the round, the game carried on like this, and my second and last death was also on the point at the end trying to stall, I ended the game at around 17-2-(I do not recall the assists).
Here comes the funny part, my team starts berating me in public chat, blaming me for the loss, and the entire enemy team comes to my aid and starts saying things like "Angela was the only one doing anything" "gnat gameplay" "she was annoying the sh!t out of our healers what are you talking about?" And it turned into both of our teams arguing about whether or not i was doing good, I simply found it hilarious how I had managed to infuriate the enemy team with how annoying I was yet they were soo quick to my defense when my team blamed me.
The Angela hate is honestly incredibly discouraging, I feel I am doing my job, creating a lot of space, yet my teams consistently do nothing with it, and place the blame on me (not saying they blame me every Angela game, or that I bait cooldowns every game, I switch when necessary and peel when I can). This community is incredibly stat driven and I know toxicity is bound to occur in any competitive game, I am not complaining, and I will continue playing Angela in my games, I just wanted to share my experience with the Angela hate in rank.
I know there is always more I could have done, regardless of how good I perform, theres always areas to improve and I will be focusing on improving my own performance going forward.

Angela is hated for having poor stats despite being a distraction style character.
My team blames me for loss and enemy team defends my performance saying I did the best on my team.
