Was losing a game badly where the enemy team was reverse sweeping us. Half my team was down and leaving spawn (basically nobody), and I was going to stall for them to regroup. I had a feeling that they were going to cap the point still, but I was going to try anyways. Half our team was down, and I dash in hoping to do what I can. I managed to win us the game with this move and was SO hyped afterwards.
I know tierlists are a whole lot of nothing and it's mostly based on opinions but I feel they should mean something no? When I play cap I feel like I do pretty well but not to the point where I can carry games consistently.
So, Thor is the God of Thunder, Loki is the God/Goddess of Mischief and Hela is the Goddess of Death, is Angela a Goddess of something?
Axes of Ichors - Attack Charge does not get consumed until 4th strike, all other strikes still get empowered.
Angela gains Unstoppable during Assassin's Charge, Divine Judgement's dive, Heven's Retribution's leap, and Wingblade Ascent.
On cast, Divine Judgement Zone knocks enemies within its radius towards the center.
Divine Judgement Zone follows Angela.
Divine Judgement Zone applies Bleeding.
While affected by Grounded and Earthbound, Angela is able to cast Divine Judgement.
On cast, Wingblade Ascent will knock back enemies on a radius the size of a Divine Judgement Zone.
Shielded Stance cooldown removed.
Seraphic Soar is toggleable.
Enemies binded by Heven's Retribution have their Movement Abilities disabled.
I've been playing Angela since mid Season 4.5 and have been pretty good with her. This overgrown, sunburnt lizard has made every game a living hell for me. Something about her this season just feels weaker for me, I don't know if it's just the Dino or a shadow nerf or just a skill issue on my part. As much as it pains me, I think I need to pick up a new main until Dinos pickrate goes down/Angela gets a buff
I accept we have counters. He has CC immunity so engaging is a no go but to also have a beam that knocks me out of the air, applies slow so I struggle to reset and gives me bleed so even if I get away I still take chip damage. Not to mention the fact that bleed means he can grab you if he closes in fast enough when you have slow (which he can reapply with shield. Like I’m still doing okay and not going negative but it’s honesty just not that fun to play against. Especially because I need a dino on my team to mirror or my frontline is kind of cooked
Last season I had upwards of a 60% WR. However, this season I’ve played like 25 matches or so and it’s dipped below 50% for Angela. I lowkey can’t do ANYTHING.

Anyone that plays Angela at Celest or above knows that in season 7, they added a shadow buff back to her that was removed a while back (along with the dash cool down nerf). As of yesterday, that is gone.
What this buff was:
By tapping shift with hold-to-charge active, you could imbue Angela with the properties of her Assassin's Charge (her dash / kidnap) until the next time you used her shift. This did 3 very important things:
Overall, these things strongly discouraged the use of the kidnap unless it was a VERY good time to use it, and encouraged a more brawly, damaging neutral game. You had to make a choice, do I go for a grab and become weaker for 6 seconds and put my better grab on a 12 second cool down? Or do I stay in a buffed state that lets me poke frontline, harass out of position dps, and brawl better as a tank? This seemed like the best of both worlds for Netease, as it would discourage a CC based playstyle by buffing her if she doesn't use her kidnap, but still keep her identity as a kidnap / DPS tank.
With Dino in the game, she was already getting royally boned out of the meta. She already has some of the hardest counters of any tank. Playing her this season already felt like forcing a square peg into a round hole, there is just literally always better options, but now her potential for damage is basically halved. She just feels incredibly weak now, the only value she brings is displacement, which is so team dependent for follow up it hurts.
TL;DR: Angela had a situational buff ability that discouraged kidnapping but made her overall better when not kidnapping, and that was removed with no balancing buff, shoving her even further out of being a viable tank.
Been hard locking Angela every game, ban Dino and ur chilling

Hi all, I want to learn Angela now that she is in a rough place in the meta. What are some fundamentals I need to learn to use her properly ? Do you need to be always diving?
Shes actually garbage like she was meta 2 seasons ago and now shes completely useless
I haven’t been able to play Angela recently but is she any good with or against Dino? Is she still buggy asf!
With the addition of Devil Dino, there are just so many alternatives the enemy team can run when wanting to counter your play style or outright existence in the match.

You also have the plethora of DPS that have already been an issue in earlier seasons and of course invisible woman if she isn’t banned.
I just suffered through a match with the enemy team running DD x Thor and of course DPS like Bucky. You literally cannot do anything against this comp.
Angela NEEDS buffs to her survivability, tenacity, or cooldowns.
- As I’ve said before again and again. PLEASE give CC immunity to Angela during a brief window when Angela uses her E to slam down into the ground or ascend into the air.
- BUFF her shield considerably because there’s just too much damage, especially with the phoenix buff. Use all the terrain you want, do snapping tricks in the air to break peoples necks, dash to cover, whatever. It’s not enough and you need your shield to block the front load of DMG plus CC. It needs to be at least 400 HP or 500 HP if we’re being super generous since it’s insanely tiny.
- BUFF her divine judgment zone so it slows enemies or at least roots them into the ground temporarily like Zyra from League.
- Maybe make her IMMUNE to any SLOWS (e.g invisible woman shield x ult, fantastic grab, etc). She can still be stunned, grabbed, frozen, etc.
Because youve now added yet ANOTHER counter to flying characters with Dino's grounding beam and refuse to truly create a good tenacity system, it's about time we buff them. Characters like Ironman, Storm, Angela and Torch are struggling hard this season, with Ultron being the only one who's decent/OP depending on the comp. Why do you guys feel the need to introduce needless CC into characters? Why do you compensate buff characters like Phoenix instead of just nerfing her? Why do characters catch random strays for no reason?
I understand that you don't want another Torch season, but killing him off for that long was poor balancing, Angela catching that random stray a few patches ago was crazy, especially since you've yet to fix her no-regs, Ironman for a good buff, just for you to bring in the Dino and then you overbuff Ultron making him oppressive in triple support and still horrid in double. These changes just don't make sense.
Can someone briefly tell me about her? I heard she originally appeared in Spawn comics, and then Marvel bought her. From in-game voice lines, she's Thor's sister and she wants to save her sister Lausa. Who is Lausa? Why doesn't Angela see Thor the same way? What is Heven? In one voice line to Invisible Woman, she says they don't like men there — is that like a Marvel version of Amazons?"
