Heath Ledger and his babe Matilda

Heath Ledger and his babe Matilda

I find this picture of them so precious, the way he's so gentle and protective of her; the way she clings to him so clearly trusting. It's clear how close they were when she was a babe. Really hope she has some memories of this time to draw on of them.

Old Article Clips from Heath Fan-sites of Heath and Michelle throughout the duration of their relationship.

Some of them are a little hard to read but fun and interesting to go through none the less. Found on the wayback machine.

Community Flares

Does anybody have an idea of maybe user flares we could create for the community and tags to use? It could give some personality and fun to our page. If you come up with some good ones I'll make them so we can all use them. Let me know in the comments.

Clip from I Am Heath Ledger, in Which Heath Films his first experinces at Burning Man and his best friend recalls it

Trevor claims that the first time they went was in '99, and yet another Burner on the r/burningman stated he saw Heath there in 2000, so it's possible Heath actually went for several years. It was said to have been "his favorite place".

I've always loved this picture of Heath Ledger at Burning Man so much!

The clips of Heath at burning man are also some of my favorites in I Am Heath Ledger. What are some of your guys favorites?

Edit; some people on the burning man subreddit claim to have went to it with Heath back then and say this was taken at Burning Man in 2000.

Heath Ledger and age gap relationship with Lisa Zane

Some of you were asking about where I got the information that Heath was 17 when he and actress Lisa Zane began dating, and this led to a broader conversation based around her lack of comment on her relationship to Heath and when it officially began, their age gap ect. I thought I'd place some articles, quotes and pictures here for those interested. We in this subreddit do not support relationships with minors in any way and it is improtant to note that if their relationship began when the article claims than Heath was potentially under age according to the Californian age of consent being 18. Even if he was not, 18 years is a pretty big gap at such a young age. Many of Heaths friends, namely Matt Amato meaning well tend to intimate that Heath was mature for his age, but he was still 17/18 and still very young to be in a relationship with someone who was much more established in the industry than he was. While we have no proof that this relationship was abusive it certainly raises eyebrows in a time when we speak about power dynamics in these current days.

Quote from Matt Amato;

""Filmmaker Amato met the 17-year-old Ledger on his very first night in Hollywood. “I was living with [Ledger’s ‘Roar’ co-star and girlfriend] Lisa Zane, and she took him by the scruff and brought him to LA and said he was going to be successful. And we had a great time,” says Amato. “The day after he moved in I gave him the script to ‘10 Things I Hate About You,’ written by a friend. Which was kind of a lucky thing.”"

Louis, Amato’s hometown, and discovered that Ledger’s friend had an archive of unseen footage. The images dated back to when Lisa Zane returned to Los Angeles from the Australian set of “Roar*,”* a “Xena: The Warrior Princess” knockoff, with her still-pimply but obviously charismatic costar in tow. Ledger moved into the boho Hancock Park house Zane shared with Amato and the cameras started rolling.
“We started to understand [Ledger] was a filmmaker at heart, and that was the direction we wanted to go,” Murray says. “We were just fascinated by that story.”
The footage, much shot by Ledger or his closest friends with themselves as the subjects, works as a sort of time-capsule reverie of innocence and optimism for a cohort of young artists and musicians and other creative types who revolved around Ledger.
