World Cup bars/fan zones

Hi all - by some miracle the England match tonight is on at a *relatively* sociable hour for this World Cup (12am). Does anyone know of any bars/fan zones that might be showing it? Ideally in Yuzhong district. Would potentially be the first game we're able to actually watch live!

Anyone had experience of the Nanning to Hanoi train?

Struggling to find some recent discussion of this train online - specifically leaving Nanning to go to Hanoi. I understand the route was suspended for a long time but has now opened up again as of last year - but a lot of resources talk about how to buy/ride the Vietnam to China route and not vice-versa. Or they seem to talk about taking it pre-Covid.

Has anyone done this route recently? Any foreigners managed to buy tickets online or are they specifically from Nanning station only? I understand it's not the most comfortable journey but we're hoping to take it at the end of our China trip as we enjoy train travel - but also hoping to not get stuck in Nanning if it's a nightmare to organise!

Cheers.

Mistaken (or fraudulent) payment by a hotel - is there anyone to report this to?

Hello - we are two visitors to Taiwan for 3 weeks and have been in the country having a great time with no issues.

On around the 20th May we booked 2 nights in Taichung on Booking, with the payment to be handled by the hotel. Absolutely fine. Got there on the 23rd May, paid via contactless ($4000) on the day we arrived and everything was all good. Checked out on the 25th. Banking app said this was explicitly a contactless payment - not a pre authorization.

On the 27th, they somehow managed to charge another $4000 dollars out of our account - listed as a contactless payment. We immediately raised this with them, they claimed it was a pre-authorization issue and the original fee wouldnt be charged (it has) and then after some back and forth trying to explain we have been charged twice, they told us to go through Booking. Who obviously aren't helpful.

Woke up this morning and at the exact same time as yesterday's contactless payment, they've charged us again for the same amount - another $4000, listed as a contactless payment. No idea how this can keep happening and at a bit of a loss really as to what to do. We've messaged the hotel again about it and will probably try to dispute it with our banking app - but is there anything else we can raise this with locally to try to spur the hotel into investigating it? We don't think it's active fraud as it really does feel like a payment screw up and it's from a small but well rated hotel in the city - but is there anything we can mention to the hotel that we'd report them to if they don't look into the issue? They've now charged us 3 times for the same stay across 3 different days and are refusing to look into it at their end.

It's not the first time there's been some pre-authorization confusing with a hotel here - had similar in Taipei where we were double charged, but that was definitely a pre-authorization and the hotel were very apologetic. Unfortunately as we've now moved further down south in the country we can't physically talk with the hotel staff to get it sorted.

Thanks
