Carti hasn’t completely abandon the idea of having adlibs on his songs, they’re just very minimal compared to his earlier eras. Carti has been more flow focused than energy focused which explains the lack of adlibs we see now.

Notice the difference in adlibs between a song like OVERLY & a track like POP OUT

Which also means that even if Carti wasn’t doing current deep voice, decreasing adlibs was always going to be a factor. (Which we also notice in tracks like Different Day & FOMDJ)

Even though I think the adlib arguments are completely valid & it’s weird not seeing as much now because of how adlib-oriented Carti’s known for, but I think fewer adlibs work in this case due to the switch

Wlr-esque adlibs wouldn’t had worked on a track like Fire Your Manager, but he should do more on the more aggressive current deep voiced tracks (Like Cover Yo Ears & that one L5 x Carti track)

We have multiple groups

- The Die Lit/ pre Die Lit fans who don’t like WLR (they might like wlr v1 though)

- The WLR fans who sees normal Carti as rage (also doesn’t like MUSIC but tolerates older Carti)

- The MUSIC specific fans who don’t like WLR

- The all around fans who likes all styles

Anyone else find it crazy that even though AGC really kickstarted the newer faster distorted rage, Ken also started to become hated due to the type sound that is highly favorable by the underground rage scene?

Side note, I’ve heard people say “all he does is the same sound” but

1. drastic sound changes are no indication of evolution when really defining your own sound is the real form of evolution.
2. there’s a difference between agc & mc (even a difference between mc & xperiment)

Personally, I think it will get a lot of the hate because a good amount of the deep voiced teacks are “Future” deep voice

Keep in mind that a lot of the hype for it is due to how much we just don’t know about the album

Keep in mind that Travis’s solo albums have been great compared to the features/collabs he would do, that’s how it was before.

Plus, the feature has nothing to do with the album itself so I wouldn’t be worrying about the future of Travis’s career just because of a track that has nothing to do with his upcoming album.
