Drivetrain slop and shifting issues

Hello everyone, I'm having some issues with the fcx24 k5 blazer. I recently upgraded my rig with full metal transmission gears and full metal diff gears to try and eliminate some one the slop in the drive train. The transmission gears are the set from RCAWD, and the diff gears are the non overdrive 12/24 t ones from injora. I have noticed that it helped a little bit but definitely not as much as I was hoping, as well im now having a new issue of my truck will now no longer stay in low gear. High gears seems to work no problem it will shift in and stay but when I go to shift it into low either it doesn't seem to want to catch at all or when it does the moment there is any sort of pressure on the the rig (i.e. crawling up somwthing) it seems to slip out and it will act as if its out of gear. Any thought or help would be amazingly appreciated! I'm still learning about all of this and this is my first time doing anything like this.

Here is some of the upgrades I have in my rig

Last night I was working on my wiring and this happened. I have a friend that can solder it back on but is there anything I can do to make this connection stronger until I can save up to upgrade to the Brushless motor system FMS offeres?
