Is this 30+ year old Siemens water heater safe to use?

Hi everyone, I inherited this water heater when I bought the house. The brand is Siemens, and it is definitely over 30 years old. I’m concerned about safety because of its age, since I have a small child who needs to be bathed there. I want to emphasize that I have no issues at all - no tingling or anything like that - and it works perfectly. I’m just wondering whether this water heater has any modern electrical shock protection systems.

  1. I installed a 30mA RCD (FI switch) in the main distribution panel in front of the entire house electrical system.
  2. I’ve heard that an RCD requires proper grounding to work effectively, but I’m not sure about mine. The water heater is properly connected to the grounding wire, but I’m not certain whether that grounding is actually good (for example, I don’t know if it might be broken somewhere along the line).

Is there a way to call an electrician who can quickly test the grounding at the water heater connection using some instrument?

Do you think it is safe to use the described water heater? I’m attaching a photo where I removed the cover so the inside can be seen more clearly.

Thanks everyone!
