n regarding a Dutch rental lease
Hello! I started renting in Eindhoven a few days ago, but one part of my rental lease confuses me. The agreement (both written and in-person) was that the lease was valid for a minimum of 3 months, maximum of 24. I can cancel early (once the 3 months are up), but I need to inform them a month in advance, and if I still want to rent after the 2 year period, I can also notify them in advance and get a new contract under the same rules.
That being said, the contract also specifies that the lease will end in September 2027. I'm guessing that means that once September 2027 is up, I'll get an updated contract for the rest of the tenancy, as I have no plans to terminate early as of right now, but I thought I'd ask here just to be sure, as I haven't rented before and I'm not a dutch national, so I'm not quite certain of the laws here in their entirety.
