Battery/engine problems
Last august I bought a brand new Scrambler 900 and I absolutely love the bike!
Today I wanted to go for a ride but it wouldn't start, it seemed like it had something to do with the battery. I found this weird since I took a long ride a couple of days ago. I slapped on a charger and it said something like 50%. I charged the battery to 100% and after a few tries the bike started.
I let it run for some time and turned it off, when I tried to start it again it was the same. Didn't start, slapped on the charger and once again said something like 50%. I charged it to 100% and thought maybe I should go for a ride and really let the engine work the battery.
I got around 2-300 meters and then the 'check engine' light came on.
Going to buy a multimeter tommorow to thoroughly check the battery status. Besides that I've already called the dealership and explained and I might take the bike there on Sunday.
Do anyone here have any idea what the problem could be? And do you think I could ride the bike the 30 minutes to the dealer or would it be smarter to transport it by other means?
